COMMITMENT
At Hotel Capri we think green and that is why we have established a firm commitment to environmental sustainability. Embracing an eco-friendly vision, the hotel has implemented advanced practices in environmental sustainability. Likewise, our commitment to sustainability extends beyond our hotel. That's why we have put in place initiatives to make your stay more environmentally friendly.
RENEWABLE ENERGY
All our electricity comes from a certified 100% renewable energy supplier. We monitor electricity consumption on a monthly basis to make decisions aimed at reducing it. We promote the use of bicycles and public transport among our guests to contribute to sustainable mobility.
WATER CONSUMPTION
We monitor water consumption on a monthly basis in order to monitor and reduce water usage. We inform our guests and provide training to staff to promote awareness of responsible water use. In addition, we have installed flow-reducing devices on all taps in the hotel.
CONSERVATION OF THE ENVIRONMENT
At Hotel Capri, we take care of all the aspects that surround us. Puerto Pollensa is a naturally abundant destination, so we have focused on minimising the water impact of our landscaping by using plants and hedges native to the island to preserve the local biodiversity.
WASTE MANAGEMENT
We facilitate separate collection in our restaurants and have placed recycling bins for plastics, organics and glass on all floors of the hotel, thus encouraging the active participation of our guests in recycling.
CONSUMPTION OF FOOD AND OTHER MATERIALS
We prefer to buy seasonal vegetables and greens from local suppliers during the summer. In our menus and breakfast buffet, we offer vegetarian options that have a lower water impact in their processes.
In addition, we work on minimising disposables, establishing purchasing criteria with our suppliers to reduce packaging as much as possible. We give preference to selecting local suppliers rather than opting for more global options.
